SMJ Interiors is an interior design firm specializing in residential design, including kitchens and bathrooms, and has been in existence for the past fourteen years. Sheila Jones Heslin, principal of SMJ Interiors, strives to respect and maintain the architectural integrity of a space, while injecting comfort, function and a clients' own sense of style. She utilizes her impeccable sense of color along with her passion for color, texture, and fabrics. Combining modern and traditional elements of style, with a refreshing, yet traditional approach due to an appreciation of both modern and traditional interiors is the beautiful end result of each design project.

Sheila Jones Heslin holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Notre Dame, located in Indiana, specializing in graphic design and textiles. She furthered her studies at the New York School of Interior Design, the only institution of higher learning in New York that is devoted exclusively to the design of the interior environment. Sheila is also an accredited National Council for Interior Design Qualifications holder, and has over twenty years of experience in the interior design field. NCIDQ is the global leader in establishing standards of competence for interior design professionals.

Her projects include many large scale corporate office interiors, financial institutions, hospitality and retail spaces, as well as numerous residential interiors. Locations include New York City, Connecticut, the Hamptons, Brooklyn, Florida, and Long Island. Various projects have been published in national trade magazines as well.
